Revel Academy is entering an exciting new phase.
As our founding chapter comes to a close at the end of this school year, Revel is entering its next era: a not-for-profit foundation, guided by trusted, experienced leadership already deeply rooted in the Revel community. This work is underway. Educators, families and community members are collaborating to ensure that Revel’s core values (trust in learners, giving them agency and autonomy, meaningful learning experiences and strong relationships) are guiding every next step as we continue to build what education could be.
This website exists to share transparent updates, celebrate the work in motion, and invite our wider community to be part of Revel’s next era.
Why This Matters
At Revel, curiosity is honored, growth is self-directed, and learners are supported in becoming capable, confident, and reflective individuals. As an individualized, mastery-based program, Revel is designed for forward movement — learners work with intention toward meaningful next steps, building skills alongside a strong sense of identity and purpose.
This transition is about protecting that momentum.
By evolving into a foundation-led model, Revel is strengthening its ability to serve learners and the Ottawa community with consistency, and care. It ensures that the learning already underway continues with intention, and that our community built around shared values of curiosity, collaboration, and trust remains intact.
We believe Revel’s approach is not only worth sustaining, it is worth growing. And most importantly, we believe learners deserve environments that trust them, challenge them, and honor not only who they are, but who they can be and the impacts they can make on the world around them.
